Top 10 Things Every First Year Student Needs to Know
By: Maureen Wilson
1. Jimmy's is cash.
2. We (as in the entire McCormick community!) are overjoyed you are here!
3. From October 15th to May 1st, you will never be warm.
4. Last year, Jeff Kline swallowed a quarter. Don't leave loose change in his vicinity.
5. Forget any and all nicities (i.e. opening or holding the door for someone); the McCormick building is a fortress and no one is to enter or exit without a valid McCormick I.D. and two other forms of government-issued photo identification.
6. Get involved in the community by joining a student group, attending session meetings, or hanging out at study break!
7. Come to study break...because everyone needs a break from studying.
8. McCormick events = free food. Find free, fine cuisine by checking The Herald's event page for upcoming community events.
9. Community worship is the place to be on Wednesdays. All the cool kids are doing it.
10. Be yourself. We all like and love you already.
