If you could be any character in the Bible, who would you be and why?
Hmm... Shiphrah would be the one. yes, the Hebrew midwife. She was a lowly woman whose job was to bring babies into the world. But her very personal name appears in God's account when the king of Egypt, perhaps the most powerful figure of the time is not dignified with the personal name. He was for sure a world leader, but certainly not a decisive player in the Biblical way of participating in history. Shiphrah did what she chose to do with the fear of the Lord. She reminds me of the primacy of cultivating the fear of the Lord, and grounding in the personal and the ordinary.

Which community meal is your favorite? Which one would you like to never have again?
I love them all! I cook everyday and I love eating food made by someone other than myself every now and then.
Who's your favorite person in the Trinity? (you can only choose one, and no, saying they are all one and the same doesn't count.)
I would say the Holy Spirit. By the Holy Spirit, God, the three in one, is made himself firsthand, transcendent and immanent to me. So wondrous!
What has been your favorite class at McCormick and why?
It is my very first semester here at McCormick, and I am taking only two classes...I cannot really pick one of the twos..I like both PIF and Christian worship class very much! And yet, I am just two weeks into a semester, so we shall see.
If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Lemon yellow or hydrangea violet.
What would I find in your refrigerator right now?
Chick peas, carrots, sliced peach, Harissa, Chicken thighs and then some with which I can make one of my favourite dish, Moroccan Tagine!
If you were a superhero, which superpower would you want to have and why?
Teleportation...It would be thrilling to be wherever I want with that!

If you could only have three electrical appliances in your house, what would they be and why?
Refrigerator... That's it! Perhaps my life will become less resourceful, but I will be able to find a way to get by.
