US-2 Mission Worker Program

The United Methodist Church offers a program called US-2. The program is designed for young adults who are interested in addressing the root cause of injustice through ministry and from a faith perspective.  You do not need to be a member of a Methodist church to apply.

Interfaith Worker Justice (IWJ) is partnering with this program and will be placing mission workers with our worker centers. If you or anyone you know are interested in working at our worker centers for 2 years on worker justice, please consider applying.

Basic info:

  • Must be 30 or younger in August 2013
  • Must be a Christian (does not need to be United Methodist)
  • Commit to 2 years of service
  • Cannot serve in your current location of residence
As a mission worker in this program, you will receive housing, training (all travel and lodging included), local transportation, relocation stipend, health insurance, a modest monthly stipend and an end of service cash award. APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 11, 2013.
