Failure

Have you ever failed at something? Well, I have (and recently, too). What I have been wondering is, why is it that failure is rarely spectacular? I personally would not mind failing if it was more entertaining. Entertaining like when you fall up the stairs or like when something explodes in the microwave. Too often my failures are, for lack of a better word, mediocre. Is it better to only fail by a little? I am not really sure. I do know that sometimes it is more entertaining to fail spectacularly and failing spectacularly sometimes makes it worth it. But, the flip side of failing spectacularly is that you also have the chance of succeeding in a spectacular fashion. There is a thin line between a game winning 50 yard field goal and a hilarious highlight of a kicker missing the ball. I think that it is better to go all out and fail miserably than to play it safe and only fail by a little bit. This week I challenge our readers to Fail Big! To steal a phrase from Martin Luther, "If you are going to fail, fail boldly, it will be hilarious!"
